Dee Bowman is a West Texan by birth. He graduated from High School at Frenship High School in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University and has a degree in Communications from the University of Alabama. He spent his early years in broadcasting and began preaching at various small churches during those years.

After 20 years in the media, he decided to give all his time to preaching the gospel. He is married to the former Norma Fullington from Burlington, Oklahoma. They have two children, Russ and Denise. He has been associated with the Auburn St. church in Lubbock, Texas (5 years) and with the Southside church in Pasadena, Texas for the past 32 years.

Dee did full-time meeting work for nearly five years and still does several meetings each year in addition to his work with the Southside congregation. He has also had the prime responsibility for training young preachers. Thirteen young men have been through the program.

Dee was one of the founders and editors of Christianity Magazine. Brother Bowman has written several books, including “That’s Life, ” “Common Sense Preaching,” and “It’s All About The People.”
